
Thomas S. Cooper, age 55, of Eutaw, died March 25, 2010, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Webster Cooper.
Survivors include his mother, Frances Cooper; his sisters, Martha Tucker, Emily Kilgore, and Kathy Bellenger (David); his brothers, Danny Cooper (Cynthia) and Philip Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tommy retired after 35 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District. He loved the travel, outdoor work, and extended family of coworkers and friends he made throughout his career. He was a good and generous man who will be deeply missed.
Pallbearers will be Irving Austin, James Knox, Doug Bell, T.E. Lamb, Joe Tucker, and Web Bellenger.
Honorary pallbearers are coworkers in the Mobile District office and Cancer Care Center of Tuscaloosa staff.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , the Salvation Army, and Greene County Ambulance Service.
