A visitation for Thomas will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Easterwood officiating. Gene will be laid to rest in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
Mr. Courington was preceded in death by his parents Dover Thomas and Audi Lee Courington; and brother, Bob Courington.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Courington; daughter, Tina Brock (Tony); son, Mark Courington (Kay); and grandchildren, Matthew Brock and and Dylan Courington.
Pallbearers will be Bedford Steele, Dylan Courington, Kevin James, David Parker, Casey Woods, Tony Brock, Jeff Kizziah, and Dewayne Connell.
