

Thomas Franklin "Frank" Woods, Jr. of Tuscaloosa, aged 69, passed away on December 17, 2024, in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, with his three children at his side. Born on September 6, 1955, Frank grew up to be an ardent Alabama Football fan and developed a keen interest in music, flying, and computers. Frank was a graduate of Holt High School and attended the University of Alabama and University of South Alabama. Following his education, Frank held a long career as a software developer. He cherished moments in his retirement spent with his children, grandchildren, and sisters.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Woods, Sr. and Virginia Lee Deavours Woods. He is survived by his sons, Thomas Woods, III (Rachel Woods), Jon Woods (Pedro Lopez); daughter, Meaghan Woods Vencito (Kevin Vencito); grandchildren, Jaxon, Lincoln, Talulah, and Tyson; the mother of his children, Monica Kleinschrodt; and sisters, Marilyn Woods Vanderpool (James "Jim" Vanderpool, Jr) and Jerri Woods Busby (Howard "Buzz" Busby Jr.). His laughter and sense of humor will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.
Services to honor Frank's life will be held at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
