

He was born December 5, 1943, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He attended St. John Catholic School and graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1961. He attended the University of Alabama. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father, Truman D. Capps Sr.; his mother, Rita Falgout Capps; his brother-in-law, Michael J. Daugherty; sister-in-law, Patricia Ansley Freitag; and nieces, Kelli Ann Sexton and Tamara Ansley Thompson; and great-nephew, Conner N. Sexton.
Bo leaves behind his wife, Virginia “Ginnye” Ansley Capps; son, Scott Capps (Paige) of Northport; grandchildren, Haley Nicole Capps, Camryn Ansley Capps and Ashlyn and Chase Huey; sisters, Merita C. Daugherty and JoAnn C. Sexton (Woody) of Tuscaloosa; sister-in-law, Connie Ansley Thompson (H.B,); and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was often referred to as “Bunkle Bo” by his nieces and nephews.
Bo's career included 20 years of service to Equifax, Inc., 26 years as a senior claims adjustor for Allstate Ins. Company, and his last 10 months before his health declined he work at Bonner's Body Shop making estimates for car repairs. He was a dedicated employee and gave more than was required.
Bo loved the Lord, his family, hunting, fishing, and the Crimson Tide. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He adored his granddaughters, whom he affectionately called “Squirt Blossom” and “Clyde”. He loved playing “Monster Man” with them. He loved to joke and kid around with everyone, Bo will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to acknowledge with our sincerest thanks the following people and groups: Lanny Welch, his hunting and fishing buddy of many years; members of the Prairie Hunting Club; Barbara Ledbetter, Michael Ledbetter, and all other employees of Bonner's Body Shop, employees of Allstate Regional Office in Birmingham; Tiffney McCulley, Karen Carey, Lynn Mosley, and Dana Watkins. A special thanks to the body shops around Tuscaloosa, where Bo spent many hours estimating damage to Allstate clients' cars. Thanks also to the employees of Northport Medical Center-DCH who cared for Bo while he was hospitalized.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2012, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The Reverend Fathers Jerry Deasy and John Fallon will officiate. Following the service there will be a celebration of Bo's life at the Parish Hall at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
