

Virginia E. “Nana” Crawford, 87, of Tuscaloosa, passed away on January 14, 2021 at DCH. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, 11AM from Valley View Baptist Church, with Dr. Billy Joy and Tollie Meggs officiating. Private interment services will be held at Memory Hill Gardens. Memory Chapel, a Dignity provider, is honored to be entrusted with final arrangements.
Mrs. Crawford was born November 06, 1933, to the late Cordie and Clarence A. McCracken. She was a devoted wife mother and grandmother. She loved her Lord, and because of that, she loved others unconditionally and gave of herself to everyone. Affectionately known as “Nana, everyone loved her. Her passing leaves a great void in many lives. We should all strive to be more like her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by brothers: Hildreth, Eugene, Donnel, Billy and Malcolm McCracken; and sisters: Betty Lollar and Margie McCracken.
She is survived by her husband Jimmie D. Crawford; daughters: Karen Crawford and Jimmie (Chris) Davis; sister in law, Juanell McCracken; grandchildren: April (Clint) Hansford, Shane (Melissa) Davis; and great grandchildren: McCallie Hansford, Baylor Davis and Lucy (Brent) Rickman.
Serving as Active Pallbearers will be: Clint Hansford, Shane Davis, Chris Davis, Steve McCracken, Stan McCracken, Ricky Davis and Tony Meggs. With Valley View Baptist Church, Sunlighters of Valley View, Sue Nelson Bible Study Class, Dr. Debra Davis, DaVita and Neighbors of 3rd Ave East recognized as Honorary Pallbearers.
