Faye was born August 23, 1943 in Bibb County, Ala. to Kelly and Elma Boyd. On October 4, 1964, she married Earl Creel and moved to Tuscaloosa, Ala. where they raised two kids, Ronnie and Wanda, until Earl’s death in 1988.
Faye loved playing softball in her younger years, with Earl coaching many of the teams she was on. She was known for her crazy sense of humor and wit.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Elma; husband, Earl; sisters, Lora, Ruth, Martha, and Mary; and brothers, Willard and Junior.
She is survived by her children Ronnie Creel and Wanda Gray (Kenny), of Northport, Ala.; grandchildren, Kathy Gray Hurt (Jonathan) of Brilliant, Ala., Dellon Creel of Escambia, Ala., Danielle Creel Coon of Escambia, Ala., Daniel Creel (Tayler) of Escambia, FL, Austyn Gray of Northport, Ala., Matt Gray of Northport, Ala.; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
