

Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday, March 3, 2025 at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Garner officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am. Burial will follow services at Christian Union Church Cemetery in Brookwood.
Snooks was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin "Buddy Buddy" Brackner.
She is survived by her children, Connie Brown and Gary Brackner (Rita); sister, Dene Ramsey; grandchildren, Scott Dickey (Joanne), Angela Caffee (Greg) and Kelli Cox; great-grandchildren, Anna-Grace Dickey (Dylan), Lexie Puliatti (Xander), John Hayden Caffee and Ava Caffee; and great-great grandchildren, The Sweetest, Maple Jo Lee and Soon-To-Arrive, Weston Gaines.
A beloved member of the Brookwood community, Snooks was a 1949 graduate of Brookwood High School and dedicated much of her life to serving others. She retired from Brookwood Elementary School after 25 years as a secretary and bookkeeper, leaving a lasting impact on students and staff alike. A devoted member of Christian Union Church, she faithfully taught Sunday school for 38 years and found great joy in sharing her faith. Her passion for her hometown was evident through her years of service with the Brookwood High School Alumni Association. Above all, she cherished her family and community, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love.
Pallbearers will be Scott Dickey, Hayden Caffee, Rick Bragg, David Forister, Stephen Beard, Tommy Washington, Scott Coogler, and Lee Hayes.
Honorary pallbearers are Christian Union Church Family, and Neighbors of the Brookwood Community.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christian Union Church.
