

Ardell Huskinson Ricks passed away on November 27, 2017 at Stoney Creek Living Center in Twin Falls Idaho.
Ardell was born on March 6, 1925. She was born on a cold, windy day in the little town of Sugar City, Idaho to Albert and Harriett Huskinson. She attended schools in Sugar City where she was involved in girls’ basketball, gymnastics, pep club, drama, and dancing. She graduated from Sugar Salem High School and then went on to work as a telegrapher for the Union Pacific Railroad.
Ardell was sealed to Vance John Ricks in the Logan Utah Temple on August 3, 1944. She and Vance were the parents of 6 children.
Ardell was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many capacities including: Relief Society Presidency and Primary Presidency. One of the highlights of Ardell’s life was serving a mission in the Atlanta Georgia temple along with her husband Vance. She loved serving and was always concerned with the welfare of others.
Ardell is survived by her 6 children, Gerald (Sherry) Ricks, Kathy (Jim) Anderson, Julia Brokaw, Wendell Ricks, Kent (Connie) Ricks, Christie (Wayne) Hyde, 19 grandchildren, 38 great- grandchildren, 4 great- great grandchildren, and her sister Carol Hopkins. She was preceded in death by her husband Vance, 2 sons-in-law, a granddaughter, her parents, 2 Sisters and a brother.
Funeral Services for Ardell will be held Friday December 1, 2017 10:00 AM at the Caswell LDS Church, 824 Caswell Ave. West with Bishop Brandon Seals conducting. A viewing for family and friends will take place on Thursday November 30, 2017 from 5-7 PM at White Mortuary. 136 4th Ave East, Twin Falls. Services are under the direction of White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls.
