

Edith met Kent Norman Darrington in Jerome, ID in 1945. They were married February 3, 1948 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Edith was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in the Relief Society, Primary, and Mutual. She and Kent worked in the fair booth and Genealogy library.
Edith is preceded in death by her husband, Kent, parents, C.O. and Laura Thueson, 3 brothers, Constant Walter (Mary-living), Orel Grover (Shirley-living), and Delbert Alma Thueson {Lorraine-deceased) and 2 sisters, Ellen Thueson Newman (Carl-deceased) and Celia Thueson Wilde (Roy-living), a son-in-law Keith Day Potter, 2 grandchildren, Anthony Jon Darrington and Alisha Marie Field, and 3 great-grandchildren, Donovan James Darrington, John Zachariah Hepworth, and Mahailla Marie Hepworth.
She is survived by a brother and a sister, Norvin Thueson (Christa-deceased), Mary Louise Thueson Chatterton, her children, George Amos Darrington (Barbara) Salt Lake City, Utah, Kathleen Potter (Keith-deceased) Boise, Idaho, Laura Jo Field (Vernon) Jerome, Idaho, Kent Boyd Darrington (Sandra) Eagle Mountain, Utah, Jim Orel Darrington (Teresa) Mountain Home, Idaho, Julia Darrington, Boise, Idaho, Edith Kay Ross (Wayne), Winnemucca, Nevada, 35 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Edith will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Twin Falls South Stake Center LDS Church, 541 Orchard Drive in Twin Falls with Bishop John Powlus conducting. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. A viewing for family and friends will take place on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at White Mortuary, 136 4th Ave. East, Twin Falls as well as from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the LDS Church. Services are under the direction of White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls.
