

Jack Robbins, 78, of Jerome passed into glory on Saturday, October 8, 2011 after a short illness at Twin Falls Care Center.
He was born August 26, 1933 to Arthur C. and May McClure Robbins in Twin Falls, Idaho. He spent his lifetime in the Twin Falls area. He worked construction, manufactured beet beds with his father and later taught himself to re-wind electric motors, earning his journeyman license. He purchased Idaho Electric in the 1970's and operated Jack's Electric until his retirement in 2001. He was known as an honest businessman.
He met his wife (Arlene Benson) on Halloween night and they were married on September 18, 1951. Jack and Arlene celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 18th of this year. To this union, five children were born. Jack passed on to his children his strong work ethic and his love for camping, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife Arlene and four children; Joymae (Dan) Stone of Jerome; Randy (Penny) Robbins of Nampa; Linda (Eric) Griffith of Nampa; and Sally (Garry) Denton of Kimberly. He had 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Bea (Bill) Johnson of California and one brother, Dan (Lisa) Robbins of Boise. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, John Alan Robbins in 1981 as well as his parents, grandparents and his sister, Deanie from Texas.
Funeral services for Jack will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 at White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls with Pastor D. J. Stone and Pastor John Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. A viewing for family and friends will take place Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at White Mortuary.
