Larry Neal Smith
The very best husband, father, grandpa, brother and son went to be with his family in heaven the morning of Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
He was born November 7, 1946 and had a wonderful life. He grew up with parents, Alvie and Nadine Smith, two brothers and a sister. He attended school in Twin Falls and Rupert. He received his GED while in the service. Larry joined the U.S. Marines and served for four years from 1963 to 1967.
Larry worked as a foreman for Longview Fiber for over 26 years; then worked for Sea-Pac for 6 years before he retired.
He married his love and life partner, Connie M. Stroud and had 49 wonderful years together. He had three daughters, Regina Marker, Kimberly Plante and Beverly Cruz. He had eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews he leaves behind. He will be in heaven with his deceased father and sister. You will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at White Mortuary, 136 4th Ave. East, Twin Falls. Burial will follow at the Filer Cemetery. A viewing for family and friends will take place on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Military honors by the Magic Valley Honor Guard and U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard. Memorials may be given in Larry’s name to the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Contributions may be given to funeral chapel staff at services or mailed to White Mortuary, P.O. Box 845, Twin Falls, Idaho 83303.
