Alfred was born March 3, 1935 in Madisonville, Texas to Nab C. and Viola Farris. Alfred loved the outdoors, and could build anything! He was the 'Jack of all trades' and could fix anything. Alfred loved to hunt. When he wasn't doing carpenter work, he was trimming trees or enjoying sitting outside in the morning sun. Alfred worked for a short time as a fireman in the late 50's and then as a Borden's milkman before going to work at Kelly Springfield Tire Co. for 30 years. Alfred was a family man, whose kids and grandkids were loved more than anything in this world. He would work hard and save up all year to take his family on a grand vacation every summer. Alfred was a very generous man, if someone came to his house he would make sure they were comfortable and always had something to eat or drink. Alfred was the type of man to give the shirt off his back and help others, he will be greatly missed.
Alfred is survived by his daughter Pennie Brignon and companion Bubba Pease; son Calin Farris and companion Joan Clark; grandkids Polly Booth, Caleb Brignon, Jared Farris, Janson Farris, Madison Farris, Zach Farris, Eric Farris, and Cameron Clark; great grandkids Mason and Hudson Booth, Violet Brignon, Brooklyn Farris and Malcom Farris.
Alfred is preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years Elizabeth Farris; son Kerry Farris; and great granddaughter Sidney Jane Farris (soso).
