Alvin Albert Monse

Alvin Albert Monse, 90 of Tyler, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 10, 2025 in Tyler. He was born January 15, 1935 in Orange Grove, Texas to the late Paul and Mary Schacherl Monse. He was one of seven children (Six boys and one girl).

Alvin worked for Kelly-Springfield Tire company for almost 23 years. He retired to take care of his wife, Betty until her passing in 2003. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Monse and by four siblings.

Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Janet Cross and her husband, Preston; grandchildren, Misty and husband, Sam, Crystal and husband, Casey, Benjamin and wife, Catherine and Wesley; great-grandchildren, Jesus’, Cayden, Cannon and Cydney. His surviving brothers are Marvin and Jarvis.

He loved God, serving as a Deacon in his church, his family, taking care of the Prayer Garden, fishing, NASCAR races, reading, going to the beach, cruising and watching OU football.

The family will gather to receive friends on Thursday, February 13th at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, Tyler at 1:00 p.m. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel with pastor Chris Ford officiating.
