Art Fields

Art was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and friend. He was a proud US Marine whom was based out of Hawaii. Art married the love of his life, Kimberly, on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the McClendon House in Tyler, Texas during a tornado. The both of them knew they were two puzzle pieces that just fit and were meant to be together. Art was a dedicated father and mentor to his kids, above all his favorite times were spent with his amazing family. He was always so caring, selfless, and a overall wonderful provider. Arthur's favorite holiday was Halloween where he, Kimberly, and the kids would dress up and go around neighborhoods and scare people instead of trick or treating. He enjoyed playing video games, reading comic books, listening to rock and roll. Art was a dedicated RN at UT where he worked LTAC and he enjoyed every minute. He was a cherished employee who would go above and beyond for his patients and coworkers. Art will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Art is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Smiley Fields; children, Kenzie K. Gallaher, Dylan T. Gallaher, Adam Fields, Allison Fields, Nathan Williams, and Hailey Lindberg; father, Charles (Amy) Fields; siblings, Dan Fields, David Fields, and Kathy Fields; mom-in-law, Linda Smiley; and father-in-law, Stephen Smiley.

Art is preceded in death by his mother, Rita Fields; grandparents and uncles.

A celebration of life memorial for Arthur will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home.
