Charles W Green

Memorial Service for Charles William Green Sr. age 81, of Murchison will be 5:30 PM Monday at St Edwards Catholic Church in Athens. Charlie was born July 10, 1932 in Houston to Brice Alva & Gladys Thelma Montgomery Green Sr. and passed away on October 4, 2013 in Athens. Formerly of Houston, Charlie had lived in the Henderson County Area since about 2002 he served his country in the U S Coast guard during the Korean War, he was a sales rep for a surgical supply company, a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and a 4th degree Knights of Columbus and was very active in his community. Survivors include children: Charles William Green, Jr. of Murchison, Mary Catherine Green of Dallas, Cleon Green of San Antonio, Russell Green of Dallas, grandchildren: Andrew Green, Paul McClinton, Melissa Bartlett, Amanda Kerner, Cathy Bedrick, Allyson Green, Karla Garrett, Hannah Clanton, Meghan & Chelsea Green and Martha Howard, 13 great-grandchildren. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Cleon Oberst Green and Grandson, Clayton Taylor Green. Memorials may be made to the Charlie Green Memorial Fund c/o Cathy Green, P.O.
