

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cleon Green; his father, Charles William Green; and his sister, Cathy Green.
He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Charlotte Soileau Green, his son, Andrew Green, his daughter, Melissa Green Bartlett, his step-son, John P. Powell, his step-daughter, Janise Powell Dornhecker, his brother, Russell Green, his sister, Cleon Green, his son-in-law, Nathan Bartlett, his daughter-in-law, Sarah Green, his sister-in-law, Judy Craig; and twelve grandchildren.
Willie was a Mason of Gus Garrison Lodge in Winnsboro. He was a Shriner of Sharon Shrine in Tyler. He was a Shriners' Clown and loved to clown out for the Shriners' Circus every year. It gave him great joy to see the children smile.
He played the harmonica and guitar to the delight of his grandchildren and has been Santa Claus to many children over the years.
He was a business owner of Willie Green Advertising and Embroidery until December 2014 when his illness made him unable to physically work. He continued to advise his daughter concerning his business until just a month ago.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 11, 2015; also at the funeral home, with Dr. Kermit Soileau officiating. Interment will follow at Tyler Memorial Cemetery.
