

Donald Worth Richards, age 84, of Price, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 01, 2012 at East Texas Medical Center – Henderson Hospital in Henderson. He was born on October 12, 1927 in Frankston to Clyde Green and Bevie Coreen Fisher Richards; they preceded him in death. Don served in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Alline Pyle, and together they spent the next 63 years raising a family and living a lifetime of memories. Don was an accomplished musician having mastered the guitar, the fiddle, and the mandolin. He had a love for old time country music and bluegrass music. In his younger days Don loved to tinker with his cars and communicate on his CB radio.
Don is survived by wife Alline; sons, Nolan Richards, and wife Suzie, of Price and Gary Richards of Statesville, North Carolina; daughters, Donna Lortz, and husband Tom, of Henderson and Marcia Tidwell, and husband Danny, of Joaquin, TX; brother, David Richards, and wife Jo, of Chandler; sisters, Betty Lewis of Whitehouse and Cherilyn Richards of Kansas City, Missouri; and by 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Don was also preceded in death by one daughter, Gina Hawes and three brothers, Clyde Richards, Jr., Darryl Richards, and Dale Richards.
Funeral services for Donald Richards will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend David Dumas officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Frankston with Robert Taliaferro, Damion Taliaferro, Coleman Taliaferro, Nolan DeWayne Richards, Jr., and Collin Cole serving as pallbearers.
