Doug Jaeger passed away August 29, 2024. She was intelligent and kind and took pride in and loved her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and genealogy and, after extensive research, created books with detailed histories of the Moon and Montgomery families. She was born in Concord, Texas, on May 4, 1939 and was the youngest daughter born to Tom and Adele Moon. Doug and her husband Harold, were married for many years and met each other as childhood schoolmates in elementary school. They spent the early years of their marriage living in California where Harold was stationed in the Navy. When Harold retired, they moved back to Concord to live and eventually relocated to Tyler, where they remained for the rest of their lives. She was preceded in death by Harold, her parents, John and Adele Moon, children Matthew and Deanna, brother Martel Moon, and sisters Hazel Tatum, Helen May and Jo Madden. She is survived by her sister, Jane Ivy, nephew John Downs and wife Melody, nephew Bill Downs and wife Renee and nieces Dana Lynn Reader and husband Boyd, Delores Ann Smith and husband Elden and Vicki (Madden) Huddleston. The family is very grateful to her caregiver, Shawnee Robbins, who did a wonderful job of giving her loving care during her last few years.
