Doyle Wayne Rowland, 66, of Tyler passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 14, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home at 10 am with Bro. David Julian officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Swan.

Wayne was born in Comanche, Texas to Lillie Matilda Rowland and Thomas Sutton on September 16, 1952. He worked at Target Distribution Center in the warehouse. He was known as a very gracious and generous person.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda Kay Rowland, son Scotty Rowland and grandson Michael Scholz; sisters Katherine Thomas, Beverly Hewson, Estelle Capps, Neva Eilers and brothers Charles Rowland, Don Rowland and Leroy Sutton.

Survivors include sons Robert Rowland, Gary Hisel and wife Karen; daughter Tammy Burks; sister Dorothy Warring and husband Dennis; nieces Crystal Munoz, Samantha Martinez and husband Miguel; grandchildren Victoria Lozano, Lance Scholz, Bruce Scholz, Nicole Wilkerson, Scott Wilkerson and Jessica Chapman as well as several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 4-6 pm at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home.
