Ann graduated from Rockport-Fulton High School with continued studies at the Business College in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Czech was her first language until second grade where she finally learned English. She played the accordion in her high school marching band and received the title of Miss Rockport. Another bit of trivia, she was honored to model on the oldest known oak tree in the world which happens to be in Rockport Texas.
Along the way, a certain young lad caught her eye while serving him a burger at her family’s malt shop, Mary’s Malt in Rockport, Texas. As a result of their courtship Bill and Ann wed on January 26, 1962. Ann had never been out of Texas but due to Bill being in the Air Force, they packed up and headed to Sacramento, California for his new assignment.
Together, Ann and Bill gave their hearts and lives to Jesus in 1970 and served the Lord in various capacities for the last fifty years. She was one to open her home for the homeless, less fortunate, a missionary passing through, or anyone else that needed a meal or a place to rest. She taught her girls to reach out to those in the nursing home by way of singing and visiting every Sunday. Along side her late husband Bill, Ann made trips to Mexico to villages that had no electricity or running water to minister and take clothing to the natives of that village.
Surviving family members are daughters Mary Segraves (Kirk) of Tyler, Texas, Connie Fiser of Tyler Texas, Becky Orr of Tyler Texas, brother Dan Kresta (Connie) of Harlingen, Texas, half sister April Adams (Allen) of Rockport, Texas and half sister Emily Waldrop (Steve) of Taft, Texas. Five amazing grandsons Stephan Segraves (Jessica), Brant Segraves, Ryan Segraves (Jessica), Chris Fiser and Sam Fiser. Five great grandchildren that have brought pure joy to her face are Harper, Ryker, Brendyen, Avery and Rylan along with many nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial will be held for friends and family Friday, 2/14/25 at Tyler Memorial Cemetery at 10:00 AM.
