

Gerry was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She retired from Safeway Foods. Gerry loved to paint until her arthritis got too bad, and working in the yard and flower beds. She also enjoyed reading, and studying the Bible, playing on computer and watching Wheel of fortune. Her favorite moments that were so special was the time visiting with family and friends. She very loving person, and never met a stranger.
Gerry is survived by son, Charlie Birdsong; granddaughters, Kathy Sikes and Kelli Birdsong: great-grandsons, Cory Kerbow, Gavin Bern, Brayden Sikes; great-granddaughters, Aria Sikes and Katie Fowler; nephew, Lindsey Birdsong, and his family, Lynette Birdsong, Nicole Ford and Erin Birdsong; and nephew, Brad Birdsong, wife Lucy and daughters, Shelby and Elissa.
Gerry is preceded in death by her loving husband, David Birdsong; mother, Beulah McAfee; sister, Mary Hamilton; and numerous other aunts uncles and cousins.
A time of visitation for Gerry will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life beginning at 1:00pm. The graveside service will take place at 2:00 pm in the Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery and Mausoleum.
