Ima was raised in Flint, TX and attended Tyler High School. She married Jimmy Cooper in 2021.
She was a bookkeeper at JC Penny’s for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, decorating t-shirts and painting. Her family will always remember her as caring and a beautiful person. She was extremely proud of her grandson Bruce Dwayne Hash for all of his success and life achievements, being the honor roll student in all of his classes. She was also extremely proud of her grandson Wesley Mccuin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, David Hugh Ellis and Nealy Belle Ellis, son, Don Carter and her 12 siblings, grandchildren, Chrisandra, Lachrisha, Aaron Carter, great grandson JD.
Ima is survived by her husband Jimmy Cooper, daughters Donna and Judy Carter, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
