Jake served as a distinguished service manager at the Ford dealership in Tyler, Texas, where he was known as a respected leader, a steady mentor, and a man of integrity. His dedication to his work and the people around him earned him the admiration of colleagues and community members alike.
Outside of work, Jake embraced life fully. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and traveling—activities that reflected his love of the outdoors, adventure, and time well spent with those he cared about. Whether on the road or by the water, these moments brought him joy and lasting memories.
Above all, Jake cherished his family. He was known simply as “Grandpa” to everyone-a title he wore proudly and one that spoke to his warmth, kindness, and the way he made people feel welcomed and cared for. He was a constant presence, offering quiet strength, wisdom, and unwavering love. Those who knew him will remember his steady guidance, his reliability, and the calm way he showed up for the people he cared about.
Jake was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Deanna Law; his parents, Everett and Lettie Law; two sisters; and seven brothers. He was a loving father of Carol (Jim), Mike (Joi); cherished grandpa of Misty, Lindsey (Jacob), and Josh; great-grandpa of Payton, Jackson, Brennan, Emily, Caleb, Elliana, and Kai. He is survived by a wide circle of relatives and loved ones.
A graveside service will be held at Cathedral in the Pines Memorial Garden on Friday, February 6, at 1:00 p.m.
