Graveside services for Jo Ann B. Blackwell, age 74, of Whitehouse will be held at the Whitehouse Cemetery with Brother Carey Ponder officiating with Tyler Memorial Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Blackwell was born on July 29, 1941 in Fairfield, Texas to Leslie Jones Burton and Anna Margaret Laird and passed away on June 27, 2016 in Whitehouse. She was a housewife and mother and lived in this area since 1965.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie B. Blackwell, parents, son, Jessie Wayne Blackwell and sister, Cyndi Burton Yielding.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Ann Henson, and her husband, Jack of Kilgore; Rhonda Jo Blackwell of Whitehouse; son, Kenneth Jess Blackwell, and his wife Christine of Kilgore; sister, Sandra Clark and 3 grandchildren, Jackie Morris, Bo Henson and Travis Collier along with 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Whitehouse Cemetery, 401 Memory Lane, Whitehouse.
A reception will be held following the service at the First Baptist Church in Whitehouse.
