

Linda Glenn Downs Boyles, age 64, of Tyler, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at her home. She was born on August 10, 1947, in Tyler, to the late David and Pauline Triana Glenn. Linda graduated from John Tyler High School in 1965. She was a retired administrative secretary for the Texas Department of Health and Human Services. She was a life-long resident of Tyler and a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church in Tyler. Linda will be most remembered for her bright smile, loving arms, and her huge heart. Those who knew her best will cherish the memories of her diligence in Christ, unending compassion for people, and the tremendous love she had for her entire family. She leaves behind a lifetime of precious memories that will live on in the hearts of those she knew and loved.
Linda is survived by son, David Downs, and wife Amanda, of Tyler; daughter, Laurie Downs; brothers, Gary Glenn, and wife Debbie, of Tyler, John Thomas Glenn, and wife Karen, of Richland Hills, TX, and Larry David Glenn, and wife Janice, of Fairbanks, AK; sisters, Martha Stewart, and husband Mike, Jill Steigman, and husband Pat, and Sharon Glenn Moore, all of Tyler; grandchildren, Jacob Downs, Erick Weesner, and Samara “Jeze: Downs; uncles, Sidney Glenn, and wife Wyleen, of Azle, Jimmy Triana, and wife Margaret, of Houston, and Ben Triana of Lufkin; aunts, Louise Wilkerson of Tyler, Annie Wheeland, and husband Bruce, of Rusk, Margaret Lazarine of Nacogdoches, Polly Triana of Nacogdoches, and Melba Triana of Vernon; nephews, Michael Stewart and Brian Steigman; nieces, Chrystina Blackwell, Amanada Addison, Lauran Steigman, and Megan Stewart; great-nephews, Austin Blackwell, Anthony Steigman, and Zachary Stewart; great-nieces, Avery Addison and Emmie Addison; and by 46 first cousins. She also leaves behind many special friends and family members.
Linda was also preceded in death by one brother, David Earl Glenn.
A memorial service for Linda Downs Boyles will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend James Craver officiating.
