

Lucille “Grandma” Graves, 83 of Tyler will be 2:00PM Friday at Everett Rd Baptist Church with Bro’s Rick Adee, Terry Sustaire & Dr. Mike Daniels officiating, burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park.
Mrs. Graves was born on March 15, 1931 in Hedley to Wimberly M & Georgia May Campbell Spier and passed away on March 17, 2014 in Tyler. Mrs. Graves went to Whitehouse High School and taught Sunday School Class at Landmark Baptist for many years. Along with her husband, she taught Children’s Church 9 ½ years at Landmark Baptist church and 1 year at Swinneytown Baptist Church. She also started Children’s Churches at Everett Rd and Cornerstone Baptist Churches, she was a member of Everett Rd Baptist Church, She loved music and as a girl sang in different churches around East Texas with her sister Mary Tomlin. Survivors Include her Husband of 68 Years Rev. Richard “Dick” Graves of Tyler, Son: Butch Graves and Wife: Peggy O’Neal of Longview, Daughters: Sandy Cochran of Troup, Eva Ivy and Husband Roger of Tyler, Becky Carpenter of Whitehouse, Grandchildren: Ronnie Dacus, Eva Gilliland , Mickey Blubaugh, Shane Graves, Tina Graves, Tonya Thompson,Alex Carpenter, Candace Ivy, Charles O’Neal, James Barr, Tony Kanuch and Sheri Caldron, 23 Great-grandchildren, 16 Great-great-grandchildren, Brother Finis Spier of Texas City. Pallbearers will be Kyle Ivy Aaron Dacus, Chase Dacus, Timothy Blubaugh, Justin Blubaugh & Patrick Akins, Honorary Pallbearers will be Matthew & Jordon Dacus & Daniel Thompson, Visitation will be 6-8PM Thursday at the funeral home.
