Michael Frank Tito (Santa Clause) age 57 Passed away at East Texas Medical Center-Tyler October 18, 2010. He was born in Glendale, CA on February 17, 1953. As a child “Tito” attended local schools in S. CA. He moved to Longview, TX in the late 70s then he moved to Tyler in 1989. “Tito” was an engine mechanic and could work on any kind of engine made. He loved to race cars and was an avid motorcycle rider, being a member of the Long Riders Motor Cycle Club of Tyler since 1992. For the past 18 years “Tito” played the role of Santa Clause for the Long Riders during Christmas every year collecting and delivering presents to needy children.
He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years Nancy Tito of Tyler, son Jeff Tito and his wife Whitney of Whitehouse, step-son Jason Eaton of Tyler, step-daughter Randi Eaton of Tyler, 4 grandchildren, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. “Tito” is preceded in passing by his son Michael Tito who passed away in 1990 and his parents.
There will be a time of visitation Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 6pm-8pm at the Landmark Baptist Church in Tyler and his funeral services will be Friday, October 22, 2010 starting at 2pm at Landmark Baptist Church.
