

Nancy Jane Welch was born at her grandmother’s home on Orange Street in Ft. Worth, Texas, May 28, 1940,and was a twin to brother Patrick Wayne Welch. The Doctor was Dr. Kingsbery, who made house calls. Her family moved to Lake Jackson as a small child. She attended elementary school there until they moved to Oak Hill, just outside of Austin, Texas. and then a year later they moved into Austin proper. She graduated from Travis High School in Austin and went to college at South West Texas State University; she graduated with a BA in Business.
Her mother was Naomi Simer Welch. Her father was Herman Troy Welch. There were six children in the family. Upon graduation, she and her roommate moved to the Dallas area and settled in Irvin, Texas. She retired from the corporate headquarters of Tuesday Morning as Import manager. When retiring, she moved to Van, Texas and later moved to Tyler, Texas.
Nancy loved a beautiful yard and beautiful things in her home. She loved antiques and made a little business out of it with a booth at Between Friends Antiques in Mineola, Texas.
She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.
A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in the chapel of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m.
