

2011 at the Park Place Nursing Home in Tyler. She was born on March 9, 1921 in New Summerfield,
Texas to Arthur "Hubert" and Cora Searcy Boss, they preceded her in death. Ruby married Clyde J. Lane
on October 2, 1937 and together they spent the next 64 years making memories and raising a family; he
preceded her in death on March 6, 2002. Ruby was a longtime member of the West Erwin Church of
Christ. In her free time, she loved to fish and cook and she took great pride in the countless hours she
spent volunteering for the benevolent center at the church where she would do whatever she could to
help the orphan children. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed
by all who knew her.
Ruby is survived by two children, Tony Lane, and wife Patsy, of Chapel Hill, and Carol Lacy, and husband
Brad, of Houston; sisters, Jerry Dunn of Tyler and Bobby Harrison of Fruitvale; four grandchildren, Robin
Lane, Traci Barnes, Patrick Lane, and Mandy Sherman; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Lee Boss.
Services for Ruby Lane will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, October 8,2011 at Tyler Memorial Funeral
Home with Forest McFadden officiating. Burial will follow at the Bradford Cemetery in Troup with Brian
Barnes, CA. Barnes, Brad Lacy, Haydon Lane, Patrick Lane, and Robin Lane serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 P.M., Friday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of East Texas in honor of their loving care for
