

Beverly was born August 25, 1931 in Scranton, PA, the daughter of the late Herbert J. and Louise (Diem) Longmore.
She married Paul Edwin Shelley August 7, 1954 in Scranton PA. He survives her.
She had worked as an educator in New Jersey for over 13 years and then was employed at General Dynamics\CSC. She was the co-owner of Shelhaven Birmans where she bred and showed cats. She was also the nanny to Emma and Nicholas Curran for several years. She loved music, especially playing her piano. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Above all else, her grandchildren were extremely important to her and she enjoyed spoiling them.
In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by her son Scott Shelley and his partner Jagger Layman, daughters Paula and Dana Shelley, grandchildren Dan Shelley and wife Sarah and Ashley Shelley. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her 2 sisters.
Beverly’s family would especially like to thank the lower level staff and administrative care at Orchard Grove Specialty Care Center for the loving care given to Beverly and the kindness to her family while she was a patient at Orchard Grove.
Calling hours will be held at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Rte 32 Montville, on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 1pm to 3pm. Funeral services and burial will be private for the family.
