

Eleanor was born April 26, 1940, in Montville, the daughter of the late Henry F. Bernges and Georgianna (Roy) Andruskiewicz.
She had worked at Thermos and UNC and as a home health aide for Masonicare.
She loved gardening, crocheting, knitting, playing cards, building puzzles, going on trips to see family and friends. She was a great cook and baker who was known for her Christmas cookies and pies.
She is survived by her daughters Diane Troniar and her husband Joseph and Karen Brovero, by her half-sister Lori Cassidy, grandchildren Michelle Gent, Melissa Leclair, Samantha Provost, Joseph Troniar III, Rachel Brovero and Matthew Brovero, great granddaughter Hollie Dailey and by nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Kenneth L. Maynard and by her long time significant other James Hunter, by her foster parents Leonard and Hedvig Martin and Sigfred and Evelyn Collins, daughter Debra Provost, sisters Barbara MarcAurele, Margie Knott, and Dorothy Olander and by her son in law Michael Brovero.
A funeral service will be held at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen on July 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. A calling hour will be held one hour prior from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Comstock Cemetery in Montville.
