

Vallee- Lawrence M. Vallee, 83 of Uncasville passed away peacefully Sunday Sept. 11, 2016 at Orchard Grove in Uncasville with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband since 1968 of Joan (McBride) Vallee. He was born in Troy NY, son of Lawrence and Mary Vallee. Lawrence graduated from LaSalle Institute and attended community college. He was a U.S. Navy veteran where during the Korean War he served on the USS Wasp. He was employed at Electric Boat for over 35 years as an electrician until his retirement. Mr. Vallee was a member of the VFW and was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Oakdale. He loved his family, was a great story teller and loved to travel. Besides his wife he is survived by 2 sons; Christopher L. Vallee and his wife Tricia of South Windsor and Craig M. Vallee and his wife Darlene Of Plainfield. He also leaves 2 sisters Helen Cunningham and Jane Casey, as well as 5 grandchildren, Kelsey, Kyle, Hannah, Aislinn, and Reed Vallee as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, John, Jimmy, Matthew, Robert, Mary Kay, and Patricia. Visitation will be Friday Sept. 16, 2016 from 9-11 a.m at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen Rte 32 Uncasville, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes Church 752 Norwich-Salem Turnpike Oakdale. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Maplewood Cemetery Norwich. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name may be made to Our Lady of the Lakes Church 752 Norwich-Salem Tpke.
