

Michael Peter Misiorek, 78, of Uncasville, CT died peacefully on June 30, 2022, surrounded by the love of his children. He is survived by his son Barry, daughter Christine and son-in-law Jeffrey Klemp, daughter Lorraine and son-in-law Jeremy Driscoll, granddaughter Kaitlyn Klemp and half-sister Maryann (Misiorek) Sawyer.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Vera (Alkevich) Misiorek; brothers Walter and Wayne; step-brothers Steven Sanford and Dennis McNulty; and many beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Alkevich and Misiorek families and the (in-law) Talar family. He is survived by many relatives from the Misiorek, Wylie,and Talar families.
Michael was a lifelong resident of Uncasville. He joined the U.S. Marines right out of high school, where he developed an interest in military history. He began pipefitting at the Millstone Nuclear Power Plant and worked many years pipefitting on nuclear submarines at Electric Boat. He took great pride in caring for his home which had long ties to his mother’s family and was just yards from his childhood home where his father resided for many years. He enjoyed tending to his beautiful lawn, watching car racing of any type, gift shopping for his family, caring for his children and grandchild Kaitlyn, vacationing at museums and historic landmarks, and reading about local events and politics.
Visitation will be held from 10:00–11:00 on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Norwich New London Tpke, Uncasville, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 at the funeral home, followed by a burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery on Depot Road, Uncasville. Please join his family afterwards for lunch at the Montville Polish-American Club, 85 Maple Avenue, Uncasville.
