Ray Risner

Ray was the founder and owner of Ray Risner and Sons Roofing in Union City with the business being over 50 years old. He was a veteran of WWll, a member of the Athens VFW, Quincy American Legion, Coldwater Eagles and the Moose Lodge.

He attended the Burlington Church of God, loved country music, the Detroit Tigers, golf and hunting.

Ray is survived by his children Diana (Stan) Albright of Coldwater, Linda (Lloyd) Smith of Burlington, Brenda (Curt) Goodman of Union City, Duane (Babe) Risner of Union City, Duke Risner of Union City and Dale Ledbetter of Texas. Brothers and sisters Elmer, David, Frank, Richard, and Larry Risner, Ruth Ann Patrick, Josephine Baily and Barbara (Donald) Patrick. Also, many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife Betty, sons Boone and Doug Risner, four brothers, Elmer, Ollie, Ted and Clayton, and one sister Doralee Howard.

Visitation will be Tuesday July 8, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Burlington Church of God. Funeral services will be Wednesday July 9, 2014 at 1:00 pm with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Burlington Church of God. Pastor Phil Palmer will officiate. Interment will follow at the Burlington Cemetery.
