Irene C. Chaney Turner

Union--Services for Irene Chaney Turner, will be held 11:00 a. m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel, with Revs. Danny Chaney, Gene Higginbotham, and Rev. Warren Hedgepeth officiating. Stephens Funeral Home of Union is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Turner, age 100 years, 10 months, and 1 day young, of Little Rock, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, Jan. 27th at Hilltop Manor Nursing Home in Union.

Survivors include 2 daughters: Pattie Russell and her husband Carroll, of Hattiesburg, and Lynn Bowden of Union; 1 brother, John Chaney of Kosciusko; 3 grandchildren: Sonya Crocker and her husband, David of Union, Sean Mowdy and his wife Amanda of Union, and Lee Russell of Hattiesburg; 4 great grandchildren: Justin Evans and his wife, Stephanie, Nick Crocker and his wife, Treasure, Larea Bufkin and her husband, Chris, and Zach Mowdy; and 3 great great grandchildren: Alyssa Evans, Jaidyn Bufkin, and John Bufkin.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Davis Turner, a grandson, Don Russell, 4 sisters, and 1 brother.

Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 30th, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are: Jimmy Ezell, Billy Ezell, Ronnie Smith, Bryan Rhodes, Jody Chaney, and Mike Chaney.
