Arlindo F. daSilva, 76, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2012. He was born and resided in Portugal for many years and worked in the auto body industry while residing in New Jersey. Arlindo is predeceased by his wife, Maria Luisa daSilva. He is survived by his son, Rev. Arlindo Paul DaSilva, and his daughter, Cristina Gomez, her husband, Charles, and his grandsons, Matthew and Andrew. He is also survived by his brother and sister who reside in Portugal.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 18th, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union, N.J.
Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 403 Spring Street, Elizabeth, N.J., on Saturday, May 19th, at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church Renovations Fund, 50 VanWinkle Place, Piscataway, NJ 08854, where his son serves as Pastor.
