

Benjamin L. Narbut, passed into eternal life on Saturday January 16, 2010 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Mr. Narbut was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and was a forty year resident of Roselle Park.He attended St. Adalbert’s Parochial School and Thomas Jefferson High School in Elizabeth prior to serving his country during WW II as a 2nd class gunner with the US Navy. He served on four liberty ships and at Iwo Jima, in the South Pacific.Mr. Narbut was employed as a machinist for Converter’s Ink Inc. and Enmont both in Elizabeth. After retirement, he worked as a school crossing guard in Roselle Park, NJ for 13 years. He was a life-long member of St. Adalbert’s parish. Predeceasing him is a son; Benjamin “Buzzy” Narbut Jr., three sisters, and four brothers.Surviving him is his wife of 63 years, Olga Narbut nee (Domansky), a Grand-daughter; Jennifer Narbut of Beverly Hills, Ca, a Sister: Sister Mary Noelle of Felician College, Lodi, NJ, a Sister- in- law; Lega Bonner, a Brother- in- Law: Walter Mack Sr. Nephews; Walter Mack Jr., Robert Shubeck, Edward Myska, Nieces; Margaret Rudnicki, Charlotte Pinkien, Julie Adamonis, Patricia Hartman, Eileen Pribila, Christine Wilverding, and Carol Giglio, as well as many grand nephews and nieces.A Funeral liturgy will be held 10 AM Friday January 22, 2010 from St Adalbert’s Roman Catholic Church, Elizabeth, followed by interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
