Daniel J. Shaughnessy

Daniel is survived by his wife Juliana, brothers Edward and Michael and his sister Barbara Staruch.

He was born in the Bronx New York and is the second son of Daniel F. and Agnes T. Shaughnessy and moved to Yonkers as a small child. He attended Sacred Heart School and subsequently graduated with honors from Gorton High School. He graduated from S.U.N.Y Fredonia and attended graduate school at Pace University. He moved from New York to New Jersey has enjoyed living at his home in Kenilworth for the past 28 years. His career began at Drexel Burnham Lambert. Later he changed employers and served as an Associate Director with Bear Stearns until it was acquired by Chase Bank. He worked at Chase Bank as Vice President up until the day he was transported to NYU Langone Medical Center and subsequently diagnosed with Glioblastoma. He was registered with the Security and Exchange Commission and held his series 7 and several other financial designations.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM from the McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Avenue Union, NJ. Funeral will be held on Thursday, August 8 from the funeral home at 10:30AM. Funeral mass will be offered at St. Theresa Church, Kenilworth on Thursday at 11:30PM.

He was a member of Atlas Pythagoras Lodge #10, Free and Accepted Masons. His warm smile and jovial spirit will be missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to:
