Dolores Deck

Dolores Deck Passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on May 9,2020. She was 86. Dolores grew up in Irvington & attended Irvington High School where she met Bill when was 16. They had 71 wonderful years together. In April they celebrated their 65th wedding Anniversary. Dolores lived a beautiful life she shared with her loving Husband, her two daughters & her grandchildren. She worked for the telephone company until her first child was born. In later years, she was a nursery school teacher and loved working with the children. Dolores loved nothing more than to spend time with family. Family vacations including camping, driving across the USA, visiting Europe & going to the beach were always filled with fun and laughter. She loved going to the Deutscher club on Saturday night and dancing with Bill. Their favorite dance was the blue Danube waltz. A highlight was dancing to the Blue Danube at a Strauss Concert in Vienna. She had the best sense of humor & was always the first to laugh at a joke. She is survived by her husband Bill, her daughter Pat (Bob), Lisa (Henry) granddaughters Jacqui (Jeff) & Megan (Shawn). Dolores was pre-deceased by her granddaughter Nicole. She is survived by her sister Eileen Sautter. With Heavy hearts, we will miss our Matriarch and know she is ALWAYS in our hearts forever, our angel watching over us.
