Eileen J. Torbick

Eileen Joan Torbick, 94, formerly of Union and Lakewood, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025. Born in Brooklyn on February 27, 1931, to James and Loretta (Nee Heffernan) Ennd, Eileen graduated from Erasmus Hall High School.

Following her marriage to the love of her life, Bernard “Toby” Torbick, whom she met on a blind date, they settled in Union. There, Eileen began a 40-year career at the Union Center National Bank, working her way up the ranks from mortgage clerk to senior vice president. As an officer of the bank, Eileen became very involved in the Chamber of Commerce, serving a 2-year term as president. During this time, she was also named Union’s Citizen of the Year.

In addition to her husband, Eileen was predeceased by her sister Catherine Calvello and her brother William Ennd.

She is survived by her son Stephen and his wife Gusti (Tina), 3 grandchildren: Gregory and his wife Fiona, Jonathan and his wife Amanda, and Kimberly and her significant other Tommy. Also, 5 great-grandchildren: Annabel, Mackenzie, Benjamin, Henry, and Zoe, and several special nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Eileen will be held Friday, June 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 1:30 PM at Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eileen’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
