Henry Ronald Weismantel

Henry Ronald Weismantel, age 85, of Succasunna, NJ, formerly of Union, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 23, 2018, the same day that marks his 60th wedding anniversary to his beloved wife Elaine Mary Pawlowski Weismantel who predeceased him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Church 1212 Kelly Street Union, NJ, on Monday August 27, 2018 at 9:15 AM. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery East Hanover, NJ. The family will receive their friends at McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Avenue on Sunday August 26, 2018 from 1-5PM. Henry was a graduate of Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange, NJ, and Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, where he received a BS in Business. He was a salesmen with General Foods, in the Maxwell House Coffee division for 30 years, retiring in 1995. Henry was a Lieutenant with Callmens Volunteer Emergency Ambulance Service in Union and a Third Degree Knight with the Knights Council 4504 of Union, NJ. Henry served his country proudly in the Navy, during the Korean War, serving on the USS Tarawa. He is survived by his devoted children Vicki (Richie)Tauriello, Eddie (Sharon) Weismantel, Laura (Jim) Byron and Barbara (Anthony) Marra. Loving grandfather of Jessica, Anthony, Kyle, Christopher and Vincent. Cherished great-grandfather of Isabella and Olivia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to www. Alz.org.
