Italia Labriola

She was born in Sant'Agata, Italy on March 6, 1931, to Antonio Pezzano and Giuseppina (nee Anacondia).

Italia, who is predeceased by her beloved husband of 73 years, Angelo Labriola, is survived by her three adoring daughters Carolina (who is predeceased by her loving husband, Giuseppe), Angela, and Josephine; her sons-in-law Frank and Giuseppe; her incredible grandchildren and their loving spouses, Peter, Kara, Maria, Elias, Giovanni, Courtney, Rosa, Tom, Jessica, Greg, Angela, Chris, Anna Maria, Salvatore, and Kristen; and her cherished great-grandchildren Joseph, Alexander, Andrew, Giavanna, Nicholas, Daphne, Violet, Olive, Carmella, Aiden, Matthew, and Sawyer.

Italia was a talented tailor for over 30 years before retiring. Throughout her life, Italia’s passions for cooking, gardening, and most importantly, her family shone through in everything she did. For Italia, food was love—Sunday wasn’t Sunday without her pasta and meatballs, Fridays weren’t complete without her pizza (which she ingeniously cut with scissors), and summer wasn’t the same without a hefty helping of figs, peaches, and tomatoes from her garden.

Italia’s pride in her family was evident in the photographs she treasured and displayed throughout her home—each one telling a story and marking a milestone of happy moments in her life.

Her kind heart, remarkable generosity, and abundant spirit are how she will be remembered best. Italia will be dearly missed by all those lucky enough to have known her.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the McCracken Funeral Home on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Michael's Church, Union, New Jersey on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 9:15am. followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
