Joan K. Troncone (nee Kaplowitz) was a dedicated and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to all that knew her. She was the kindest, most patient, selfless, loving person in the world.
Born on June 9, 1941 in Hackensack, NJ, Joan spent her childhood and early adult years in Park Ridge, NJ before settling in Union to raise her family. She loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. We will miss her dearly and she will forever be in our hearts.
From a young age, thoroughbred racehorses were a big part of Joan’s life and she loved to go to the track with her family to cheer them on. When her children were younger, Joan was very active and involved with the school PTA serving as President and Treasurer for many years. She was a true homemaker, a terrific cook, and loved nothing more than taking care of her family. Joan enjoyed her yearly vacations to Florida with her family and Las Vegas vacations with her husband and friends for many years. She loved the beach and the sun, and always had a beautiful tan.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Richard J. Troncone only a year ago on
May 1, 2020, her parents Joseph & Alyce Kaplowitz and her sister Phyllis Cannon.
She is survived by her daughters - Lea Ann & Frank LoBello, Dawn & Charlie Bohannon, Donna Russomagno, Tammy Troncone, and her son Richard J. Troncone, Jr.
11 grandchildren - Allison LoBello & Christopher Giusti, Frank LoBello III, Alexandra Russomagno, Samantha & Collin Eaker, Kendall Bohannon, Gerard Russomagno, Jr., Charles Bohannon, Jr., Andrew Russomagno, Fallyn Bohannon, Julia Troncone & Anthony Ibbotson. She is also survived by her nephew, Joel & Donna Cannon, sister-in-law, Dolcie Troncone, and brother-in-law, Edward Troncone.
Although we will miss our Mom dearly, we find comfort knowing she is with our Dad.
