Joseph Dente, 94, passed away on June 21, 2012 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Friends and family may call on Monday, June 25th, from 4-8 p.m. at the McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union, N.J. Funeral service at St. Michael's Church, Union on Tuesday, June 26th at 10:15 a.m. with interment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union
Before moving to Roselle Park, NJ Joe was a long time resident of Newark and Maplewood, NJ . He was an Army Veteran and a retired Newark Police Officer who took pride in his work. Joe was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grand-father. He is survived and will be missed by his wife Rose, daughters Donna Lourenco and Camille Mitarotonda and her husband Joseph, grandchildren Cheryl Beach, Aurora Galaris, and Joseph Mitarotonda, and great grandchildren Nicholas and Christopher Beach.
