Maria (Nuria Del Carmen) C. Perez

Nuria resident of Elizabeth, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 15th, 2024 at the age of 95.

Nuria was born in San German, Oriente Province, Cuba and raised in Guantanamo, Cuba. She migrated to this country with her husband and three children 53 years ago.

When Nuria and her husband arrived from Cuba, they worked very hard to establish themselves here and build a life for their family.

Nuria had a passion for reading, working on crossword puzzles, listening to music, attending Broadway shows and musicals, watching her novelas, cooking delicious meals and spending time with her family.

Nuria will be remembered as a loving, devoted and extraordinary mother, grandmother, and soon to be great-grandmother.

She was strong, thoughtful, selfless, kind and generous.

Nuria was an inspiration of love, courage, and strength to her three children and three grandchildren whom she loved and spoiled dearly.

Nuria is survived by her beloved son Isaac and twin daughters Alina and Vivian. Her son in-law Jorge Lugo and grandchildren Andrew, Michael, Daniel and wife Angela.

Nuria will also be deeply missed by her nieces Maria Rosa, Nuria and Georgina.

Nuria is predeceased by her beloved husband Rodolfo and sisters, Mireya, Dolores and Maria Rosa.

"In our immense sadness, we are lifted up by the extraordinary gift of her life. And we will spend the rest of ours remembering, adoring her and living up to her example.”
