

Marjorie Grace Gural, 90, died on May 25, 2016. Born and raised in Nutley, NJ, she lived in Union for 63 years where she raised a family and served as a District Leader for the Democratic Party. Active in her community, she was steadfast in her dedication to help her neighbors and friends when they were sick or in need. Engaged in all of her children's activities, she served as a Scout Leader and was the Secretary for a variety of Equestrian Associations. She worked as Assistant Personnel Director of Union County Court House and later retired as the Personnel Director of Runnells Hospital in Union County.
After roller skating throughout her youth, she traded the rink for the lanes and bowled with the Seniors League at Highway Bowl until just a few years ago. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Mayflower Society. An avid gardner, she took great pride in cultivating the dozens of varieties of flowers, plants and trees in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Gural, her son William Gural and her son-in-law Christopher Hartshorne. She is survived by her daughter Susan Gural of Washington, NJ and daughter-in-law Michelle Isaacson of Florida, her sisters Elaine Clark and Marilyn Vitkovsky, and their families. Her final goal was to vote for Clinton. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Hillary Clinton’s campaign fund in her name.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 31st from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union. A service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 1st at 11 AM . Cremation will be private.
