Michael Patrick Tinney

Michael (“Mickey”) Patrick Tinney, age 79, of Union, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Saturday October 20, 2018. Michael was born in Newark, NJ, and was a lifelong resident of Union, NJ. He was employed by the City of Newark for many years before his retirement.

A prayer service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 10:30 am at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ.

Michael was preceded by his parents James and Cecilia Tinney; brothers James, John, Joseph, and Daniel Tinney; and sisters Mary Werder and Eleanor Tinney. Michael is survived by many nieces and nephews, and his good friend Joseph Schaad.
