

Pearl A. Piegari died on Sunday April 8th 2012 at Beth Israel Hospital, Newark. She was 97 years old. Funeral will be held from the McCracken Funeral home 1500 Morris Ave., Union on Friday April 13th at 9 AM with a mass being offered at Christ the King Church,Hillside at 10 AM. Interment at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union will follow. Family and friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
Pearl was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Hillside for 74 years. Beloved wife of the late Angelo Piegari. Dear sister of the late Patsey, John, Vincent, and William Natiello. Loving mother of Gregory and his wife Marie of Houston, TX and William and his wife Arlene of Westfield. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. As a member of the Hillside Art Workshop, the Kenilworth Art Association, and the Montclair Pastel Society Art Club, her works have be exhibited at the Newark Museum, PSE&G, Hoffman La Roche, Kessler Insitute, Hillside Library, Merck, Elizabethtown Gas and others. She won 1st place in the NJ state "Alive and Still Kicking" exhibit. Her works are also in many private collections. Pearl was a versatile painter, proficient in many mediums and won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons throughout Union county and the state in her 35 year career. She was an art instructor at the Hillside Senior Citizen Center until 2007 and was a former president of the Charles Rose League. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ the King Church 411 Rutgers Avenue, Hillside NJ 07205.
