Phyllis Louise Lange

Phyllis Daniel Lange, 83, died on August 15, 2016, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 11, 1933, in Elizabeth, NJ to Frank and Louise (King) Daniel. They and her brother, Charles, and sister, Claire Kretschmer, preceded her in death. Phyllis graduated from Union High School in 1951 and on August 4, 1951, she married the love of her life, Melvin George Lange, her husband of 65 years. She lived in Union, NJ her entire life until moving to Lawrence, KS in 2009. She is survived by her husband, Melvin, of the home; her son, Mark (Lori) Lange; her daughter, Patricia (Mark) Wilson, all of Lawrence; grandchildren Heidi (Jason) Hackel, Omaha, NE; Katie Lange-Monnig (Nate Monnig), Ft. Collins, CO; Scot (Emily) Lange, Lawrence; Kelsie (Joey) Brown, Denver, CO; her brother, Richard (Marion) Daniel, Tunkhannock, PA; nine great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends who loved her dearly.Visitation will be at 10:00 am on Monday, August 22, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to First United Methodist Church, Union, NJ and The Seeing Eye, Inc., Morristown, NJ.
