Robert E. Plesko

Robert “Bob” E. Plesko was the kind of guy you never forgot. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, godfather, and friend who lived life with love, laughter, and no shortage of personality. Born in Newark, NJ, to his late father, Ed, and his mother, Millie, he grew up in Union, graduating from Union High School in 1979 before earning his degree from Kean College in 1984. He built a successful career in medical sales, but his true passion was the people he surrounded himself with. Bob later settled in Warren, NJ, where he and his wife, Judy, created a warm and loving home for their two sons, Brian and Eric.

Bob was a family man through and through. He was a loving husband, a proud and devoted father, and a protective brother to Pat and Joan. He was also a cherished uncle and godfather, always ready with a joke, a story, or a helping hand. His signature phrase, “Love Ya More,” was more than just words—it was how he lived his life.

If you knew Bob, you knew he spoke his mind. He was loyal to the core, always had your back, and, sure, he could be a “PITA” at times, but that was just part of his charm. Whether he was kicking back with a Budweiser and a Romeo y Julieta cigar or celebrating a big win at the roulette table, Bob made sure everyone around him felt like part of the moment. “Win together, lose together” wasn’t just a saying—it was how he treated the people he cared about.

Bob’s love for Puerto Rico, inspired by his wife, Judy, became a big part of who he was. He embraced the island’s laid-back, do-as-you-want lifestyle, and that same energy carried over to his love of boating. He named all his boats “Chica,” a place for fun, relaxation, and unforgettable memories—whether crabbing, tubing, or just enjoying the ride with family and friends.

A natural salesman, Bob had a long and successful career in medical sales, but at the end of the day, it was never just about work. It was about the relationships he built and the impact he made.

Bob’s impact will never fade. His laughter, his stories, and the love he gave so freely will stay with us forever. He’ll be missed more than words can say, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. “Love ya more, Bob.”

Robert “Bob” E. Plesko era el tipo de persona que nunca olvidabas. Fue un esposo, padre, hijo, hermano, tío, padrino y amigo devoto que vivió su vida con amor, risas y una personalidad única. Nació en Newark, NJ, hijo de su difunto padre, Ed, y de su madre, Millie. Creció en Union, donde se graduó de la escuela secundaria de Union en 1979, y luego obtuvo su título en Kean College en 1984. Construyó una exitosa carrera en ventas médicas, pero su verdadera pasión eran las personas con las que se rodeaba. Posteriormente, Bob se estableció en Warren, NJ, donde él y su esposa, Judy, crearon un hogar cálido y lleno de amor para sus dos hijos, Brian y Eric.

Bob era un hombre de familia a fondo. Fue un esposo amoroso, un padre orgulloso y devoto, y un hermano protector para Pat y Joan. También fue un tío y padrino muy querido, siempre dispuesto a contar un chiste, una historia o a echar una mano. Su frase característica, "Love Ya More" (Te quiero más), no era solo una expresión, sino la manera en la que vivió su vida.

Si conocías a Bob, sabías que decía lo que pensaba. Era leal hasta el final, siempre te respaldaba, y, claro, a veces podía ser un “PITA” (un poco molesto), pero eso era parte de su encanto. Ya fuera relajándose con una Budweiser y un cigarro Romeo y Julieta o celebrando una gran victoria en la mesa de ruleta, Bob se aseguraba de que todos a su alrededor se sintieran parte del momento. “Ganar juntos, perder juntos” no era solo un dicho, era la manera en que trataba a las personas que le importaban.

El amor de Bob por Puerto Rico, inspirado por su esposa, Judy, se convirtió en una gran parte de su vida. Adoptó el estilo relajado de la isla, disfrutando de la libertad de hacer lo que quería, y esa misma energía la trasladó a su pasión por la navegación. Llamó a todos sus botes “Chica”, un lugar para la diversión, el descanso y los recuerdos inolvidables—ya fuera pescando, haciendo tubing o simplemente disfrutando del paseo con su familia y amigos.

Un vendedor nato, Bob tuvo una larga y exitosa carrera en ventas médicas, pero al final del día, nunca se trató solo del trabajo. Se trataba de las relaciones que construyó y del impacto que dejó.

El impacto de Bob nunca se desvanecerá. Su risa, sus historias y el amor que brindó tan generosamente vivirán con nosotros para siempre. Lo extrañaremos más de lo que las palabras pueden expresar, pero su espíritu seguirá vivo en los corazones de aquellos que lo conocieron. "Love ya more, Bob."

A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM, 1500 Morris Ave, Union. A graveside service to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington.
